8 Christian Principles
“Instilling Christian Principles with Academic Excellence”
1. Respect to Authority – to give honor to
I Thessalonians 5:12 – “Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who
work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish
you.” (to warn or give advice)
2. Always Do Your Best
Colossians 3:23-24 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as
working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an
inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are
serving.”
3. Golden Rule
Matthew 7:12 – “So in everything, do to others what you would have
them do to you.”
4. Show Kindness (No Bullying)
Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
5. Show Your Fruits
Galatians 5:22 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-
control.”
Colossians 3:12 – “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and
dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility,
gentleness, and patience.”
6. Tame the Tongue (don’t make fun of others/put downs or gossip)
James 3:7-8 – “All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of
the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man
can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.”
7. Be an Encourager (to support)
Hebrews 3:13a – “But encourage one another daily…”
8. Be Honest (tell the truth)
Exodus 20:16 – “You shall not give false testimony against your
neighbor.”
